ODE is a pop-pagan performance wrapped in a love letter to the collective. A contemporary ritual where bodies, rhythms, and energies converge, the work explores belonging, shared ecstasy, and the delicate performance of harmony.

Inspired by pagan processions, eleven performers chant on stage, tirelessly repeating a choral chant that resembles an insistent prayer. The scene, at first inoffensive and naïve, gradually becomes more complex, culminating in an almost psychedelic, hallucinogenic effect.

With ODE, Catherine Gaudet transports us into a surreal, exalted universe, imbued with an extreme desire for harmony, coupled with palpable ambiguity. For this new creation, the choreographer offers an unclassifiable work, striking in its singularity, somewhere between sacrificial rite and pop-rock show.

With humour, intensity, and visceral physicality, ODE asks what it means to come together—and what it takes to hold a community in balance.
